Michelle Barry is a professional producer/sound engineer/educator with over 20 years’ experience in Sydney, London and New York.  Starting at Paradise Studio, Sydney in 1990 she has since worked in studios such as Trackdown, Sony Music Studios, Alberts, ABC Radio, Marcus Studio - London and Times Square Recording, Cowboy Technical Services, Sear Sound - NYC and had the opportunity to learn along the way from amazing producers such as Dave Steward, Youth, Wayne Connolly, Mike Stavro, Roger Greenawalt, Rob Mathes, Russell Simins. 

She has worked diverse artists such as established Australian Jazz players Dale Barlow and Sydney All Star Big Band, 80’s legend Iva Davies, The Sydney Opera Company, Steve Clisby, US independent artists Jessie Murphy In The Woods, The Alan Cohen Experience, The Pierces and Sydney Hip Hop artists Maya Jupiter, Ebony Williams and UK funk/RnB Junior, G-Nation.  Recently producing artists such as Bears With Guns and Derrick Attwood

She has worked in audio post engineering film scores, dialogue records and SFX lays for film, TV and advertising.

 Passed on her skills at The Australian Institute Of Music teaching recording techniques from microphone theory to analogue tape alignment and digital technologies such as Protools and Logic.  In teaching and working with artists she believes technology should not intimidate but facilitate and never get in the way of an idea.

Having worked in a variety of studios she is equally comfortable in large studios as home set-ups and aims to create a creative environment and provide quality affordable to both record companies and independent musicians
